Privacy Policy
Updated on 21 October 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Resumondo ("Resumondo," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our website and services. We handle your data openly and only for the purposes described here. We do not sell your personal data.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Account information
- Your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google
- Sign-in data needed to keep you logged in
- Profile details you choose to add: name, contact email, phone, address and photo
- Billing details: your plan, payment status and purchase history. Card details are entered on Stripe's checkout page and never reach our servers.
2.2 Document content and uploads
- The resumes and cover letters you create or edit
- Files you upload to import or check a resume (PDF, Word documents and images)
- Job descriptions and notes you paste in
- Any personal or other data you include in your documents
2.3 AI resume interviews
- During an interview, your microphone audio is streamed to a speech recognition provider so your words can be transcribed in real time. We do not record or store the audio.
- We store the written transcript of the interview (your answers and the interviewer's questions) together with the interview details, because we use it to write your resume and cover letter.
2.4 Connected AI assistants
If you connect ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant to your account, we store a record of that connection (which app, when it was connected and last used) and the access tokens that let it work. Tokens are stored in a hashed form. We receive only what the assistant sends through our tools, such as resume or cover letter content it wrote for you; we don't have access to your other conversations.
2.5 Usage information
- How you use features, including AI credits and AI resume interviews used
- Technical logs of AI requests (which feature, which model, size and cost) so we can run and price the service
- Error logs needed to fix problems
3. How we use your information
3.1 Providing the service
- Creating and managing your account
- Storing, editing, importing and checking your documents
- Running AI features: the editor assistant, resume checker, cover letters, imports and AI resume interviews
- Turning your documents into PDFs, including documents requested by a connected AI assistant
- Processing payments and managing your plan, credits and interviews
3.2 Improving the service
- Understanding which features are used and where things go wrong
- Monitoring the cost and quality of AI features
- Preventing fraud and abuse
We do not use your documents, uploads or interview transcripts to train AI models.
3.3 Communication
- Sending sign-in codes and essential account or billing messages
- Answering your support requests
- Telling you about important changes to the service or these policies
4. Service providers
We rely on the following providers to run Resumondo. They process data on our behalf and only to provide their service to us.
4.1 AI providers
- Anthropic PBC: AI text generation (the editor assistant, checker, cover letters, imports and the call interviewer)
- Google LLC (Gemini): backup AI text generation and real-time speech recognition during interviews
- Mistral AI: reading text from uploaded files
- ElevenLabs: the interviewer's voice and backup speech recognition during interviews
4.2 Other providers
- Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage
- Google LLC (Google Analytics): statistics on how our website and app are used
- Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited): payment processing
- Our hosting provider, which runs the application servers
When you connect ChatGPT or Claude, those services are operated by OpenAI and Anthropic under their own terms and privacy policies. You can disconnect them at any time on the Connect page in your account.
5. Data storage and security
- Data is encrypted in transit
- Access to your data is limited to your account and to the staff and systems that need it to run the service
- Connection tokens for AI assistants are stored hashed
- PDF links created for connected AI assistants expire after 7 days, and those files are then deleted
- Payments are handled by Stripe
6. Your data protection rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data, including deleting your account yourself in Subscription & Billing
- Restrict or object to processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent where we rely on it
- Complain to your local data protection authority
To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
7. Data retention
- Account information: while your account is active
- Documents, uploaded files and interview transcripts: until you delete them or close your account
- PDFs created for connected AI assistants: 7 days
- Usage and AI request logs: up to 24 months
- Payment records: as long as accounting and tax law requires
When you delete your account, we delete your account, documents, files and transcripts straight away. Copies in backups and logs are removed within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.
8. Cookies and local storage
We use the cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure. We also use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies, to see how people find and use Resumondo so we can improve it.
On our public pages, you can turn Google Analytics off with "Opt-out" in the cookie banner. We remember that choice in your browser's local storage and remove the Google Analytics cookies already set. Inside your account, we use Google Analytics to understand how the product is used.
We also store a few interface preferences in your browser's local storage. We don't use advertising cookies.
9. International data transfers
Some of our providers process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
10. Children
Resumondo is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the service or the law. Changes take effect when posted here, and we will notify you of significant changes. See also our Terms and Conditions.
